Polikarpov I-16, Finnish and other versions
These are Hasegawa 1/72 special edition kit of the Polikarpov I-16, Finnish version. I built it OOB. All parts were in the kit, including the skis and the wire attached to the landing gear. Built in 2007

Mitsubishi Ki-46 III Night Fighter
When I started completing model airplanes after a 12 year hiatus, I was just building German and Russian aircraft for some reason. This is my first Japanese aircraft I completed in 12+ years.
Mitsubishi Ki-46 III– Kai night fighter in 1/72 scale. This was built out of box. Everything, including the markings on the tail and Hinomaru, were painted on.
This was completed in spring of 2021.

Nakajima Ki-44 II Otsu Shoki (Demon) of Japanese Army Air Force
Allied Code name “Tojo”
Modelled from a 1/32 Hasegawa kit, finished with Tamiya paint.
Kit built out of the box with masking tape seat belts.
The Ki-44 was painted with Floquil Old Silver and various Alclads. The white bands were Floquil Reefer white and the anti-glare panel was Floquil Engine Black.
The larger red areas were painted using Gunze Red.

Allied Code name “Nate”. Nomonhan Incident, Pre WW2
Modelled from a 1/32 Special Hobby kit, finished with Tamiya paint.
The large red stripes where done with a Humbrol 60 scarlet.
